    NHL trivia

Came across these while browsing some stats ...

Who has the best career plus-minus in modern NHL history?
It's +730, and it's over 200 higher than the next guy.
    It's not Gretzky; he's third with +518

    Bonus:
Who has taken the most shots on goal in modern NHL history?
The total is 6,206, almost 900 more than the next guy.

    Honor system!

I should qualify this ... looks like neither stat was kept for old-time players, so think late 70s on

I think he's trying to be a tricksy hobbit, so I'm saying both are the same. I'm going with Ray Borque for both.

                    I love this trivia stuff.

I'm about 95% sure that Larry Robinson leads in +/-.

I'm not sure about shots though. I want to say Phil Esposito, but I don't know if they kept track of shots at the beginning of his career. So I'll agree with BMN and Crisis and go with Ray Bourque for shots.

My figuring for Borque was that he was a defenseman and therefore had a ton of ice time, which increased the likelihood for both answers. Plus, he was pretty damn good and offensively minded.

                        You got the double!

It's Larry Robinson for +/- and Ray Bourque for shots.
