I thought local prospects don't count against the total?

Brown is the Left Tackle prospect from USC.

Im not aware of that rule.

In that case a team like Miami or Jacksonville could almost double their visits by just checking out FSU, UF, and Miami players.

Yeah DB,
I believe the rule says 30 non-local visits are allowed and you are allowed to have players who are local to the area or went to a local college visit without it counting. I know the Giants usually have a mass "local day":

These visits are notable because they're not local players who were either born here or went to college in the area. The Giants are permitted to bring in a maximum of 30 non-local players, so when they use a scheduled visit on a player, it's indicative of their interest in him.

Haha I think it's one of those weird minor details. I learn something new with every draft.

So John Skelton, Arthur Jones, Mike Williams, and Naaman Roosevelt don't count.
