    Connolly a go...Hecht (finger) GT decision...Stafford out

BUFFALO, N.Y. - Buffalo Sabres forward Tim Connolly is a go for Thursday's series opener against the Boston Bruins.

That's good news for the Sabres. Two other forwards, Jochen Hecht and Drew Stafford are not quite as far along in their recovery as Connolly. Hecht will be a game time decision and Stafford hasn't been cleared for contact.

I have no problem with that.

I would really like Hecht to be out there. He has been outstanding most of the season.

Is it bad to hope Stafford never plays in the blue and gold again?

You bet man. I bet he finds a way to get on the ice. His team needs him.

Timmy will be amped when he comes back, he's just had himself a Career best season in Points, and he had a hot stretch last year too, he should be happy where he's at.
