All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!

If they were going to try and trade up my bet is we are one of the teams they would be trying to get ahead of because if he gets by us there is a good shot he gets to S.F.

Not true...Jacksonville is a very likely candidate to be interested in Clausen.

you are absolutely correct. the only way we could make it work would be to draft clausen and then trade him
if they want clausen, and he's still there at 9, they're still getting the guy they want and in theory shouldn't give up any less. in fact, the 9 pick would be more valuable than the 5 if the player you covet is still there. you pay him less.
Getting the 5 ensures they get clausen. if something doesn't work out with KC, they could sit back and wait to see if he gets past seattle and clevland and make a deal with Buffalo if Jimmy C is still there -- or they could swing a deal with either of the 2 aforementioned teams.
If they will not trade to #9 with Buffalo I hope they trade with KC. I would love KC to not take a LT. That will increase the chances of a top 3 LT falling to us.
