Was reading a mock Draft on Fox sports and the writer mentioned the following:

"I read a great factoid this weekend. According to Bills team researchers, 28 percent of Buffalo's draft picks since 2004 have turned into starters. Only New Orleans (29 percent) has done better. The major difference between those two teams? Well, the Saints have been to two NFC Championship Games and won the Super Bowl last season. Buffalo hasn't been to the playoffs in a decade."

Not measured in the statistic, the quality of the starters :)

For some odd reason, this isn't making much sense...

29% is the best in the league? Don't you mean we're 31st in the league?

I'm willing to bet Indianapolis has a better percentage than that.

Peter Schrager is a moron. He's a nobody.

No, the difference is this:

Our starters suck, their starters are good. Plain and simple.

yeah thats not good, its bc every year we have 5th and 6th round draft picks starting over the previously drafted inept players

Yep, we lose players to injury, releases, trades, and most of the time they are replacing players that sucked just a little bit worse than they did.

Does Bell at LT count? Just because they are starting does not mean they have the talent to start on other teams.

There are two possible conclusions to draw from this:

1. Buffalo is good at drafting and finds starters more than other teams.

or,

2. Buffalo drafts guys and plugs them in as starters, regardless if they're ready/good enough.

Given our record over the span of this study, my money's on #2.

and drafting guys too early....and trying to have them switch positions....and because they could also play special teams...
