I think they need to get ahead of Cleveland if they want Colt McCoy. What kind of pick would it cost them to move up 4 or 5 spots in round 2?

Would take our 2nd and like a 4th or 5th rounder.

There are at least 8 players still on the board who would be a decent to excellent value to the Bills at a position of need. They don't need to move up to get one of them.

I would offer our 2nd and 5th to move up to the top 3 of the 2nd round and draft Colt McCoy.

I don't either. I am just curious what it would cost them if they are wanting to get a QB with thier next pick.

Wow, I forgot about Everson Griffen, wouldn't mind him at all, that would be a sexy, sexy, pick.

No thanks.

Take a gamble on Skelton in the 4th. If that doesn't look like it's going to work out, draft a QB with the 1st pick overall next year.

In 2007 to get Poz they gave up the 43nd (2nd round) and 74th (3rd round) picks in the draft to Detroit for the 34th (2nd round).

Per a draft value chart I found online 43rd is worth 470 & 74th is worth 220 for total of 690.
The 34th pick is worth 560.

That was a 3rd round pick to move up 9 spots in the 2nd round, they must have really wanted Poz cause they overpaid some to get him.

The first pick of the 2nd round, the 33rd is worth 580

The Bills 2nd round pick is the 41st, is worth 490
3rd, #72 is worth 230
4th, #107 is worth 80
5th, #140 is worth 36
6th, #178 is worth 20.2
6th, #192 is worth 14.6
7th, #209 is worth 7.8
7th, #216 is worth 5

So it would cost Buffalo at least a 4th rounder (or more) to move up.
Other teams may want to move up to.
There are some good players left, but they will be going fast.
KC has the 5th pick and with Weis there he is likely pushing the FO to pick Clausen if he is still there.
Clevland needs a QB an they pick 7th.

A front office willing to trade up-- which, given the glaring need to do so in round 1, this team doesn't have. Now it's useless.

I meant FROM #9. Not back into the first in the 20s. Everybody wants those picks. They needed to trade up into the top 5 when the franchise LTs were still there. Read some of my other posts.

No point in trading up where we are in RD2. Plenty of outstanding players will be available. And with Clausen getting past over, that is just one more player other than QB who will be available when we pick. Should be able to get an instant starter there. I would look for the pick to be McCoy if he is there, if not it will probably be the best OT or 3-4 DT available.

I would still love to be able to package either Lynch or Whitner in a deal to get back into the middle or end of the 2nd.

This is such a deep draft that I am not worried about the Bills standing pat in round 2. Their will be a great player there in round 2. Still a couple great OTs, DTs, QBs, DEs, LBs that are there. One great player will be there. One player Draftboy did not mention that is still out there is Kindle. I would love if he fell to us in round 2.

My gut feeling is the BILLS don't want Colt McCoy and will not trdae up to get him....
I could be wrong..

i like Washington and Griffen better than Clausen. i'll go as far as to say that Saffold and Dunlap are higher as well. JMO.

Dunlap should be there late in Round 2, and possibly into Round 3. He's a dumbass.

I like them better as well, but Jimmy Clausen's value is higher.

DB, would you take Clausen if he's there tonight?
