We needed one, and whether it's him, Cody or one of the others, you're getting a big dude who clogs up the middle, is good against the run, but can't rush the passer and only plays first & second downs. I don't really know enough about how to evaluate these NTs to have a strong opinion, so I guess I'm going to be good with it.

Going to run the 3-4, you need a NT. I have no idea if this qualifies as a 'reach', but I think you have to trust Nix et al, on this one.
My personal preference would also have been OT with this pick, but Troup certainly 'fills a hole', and from what I recall, unlike some of the other 'space eaters', is actually pretty athletic, and potentially an all 3 downs player.
