Do we really care if we get any of the scrub QBs left?

I'd love Jarrett Brown, but at this point I doubt we draft a QB.

sounds like a pretty decent pass rushing OLB

Seriously people. Understand: We are going with the QB's we have. Learn to like it.

Daniel Jeremiah tweeted about him a while ago:

What are your thoughts on Arthur Moats OLB/DE from James Madison?>> one of my favorite players in the draft! Love him

His 40/shuttle are pretty good.

MOATS!!! That's TWO draft picks went to Buffalo that I've met! ****ing sweet!

Definitely an OLB/pass rusher. As Chappelle would say: he's mad ******ish, yo.

I'm just glad we didn't pick any scrub QBs before.
I think that if the guys they thought of as developmental prospects, have already gone, our 4th QB will be a FA.
Another 'need' addressed though, with an OLB.

Oh I wouldnt hate getting one of them but I won't care either way. I bet we add a veteran like Garcia.

I love Moats! I have had the opportunity to watch him play a few times. Good small school prospect.

yet again no QB

all of the QB's in this draft outside of Bradford were projects.... We already have projects.

Will bring in a vet to replace Fitz IMO, and there will be a competition for the starting position.

BUT I for one am extrememly happy we didn't reach for a lousy QB in this draft.

We have successfully left ourselves open to making the big move in 2011 for a franchise arm

What are his measurables? Does he translate more to OLB in a 3/4?

Affirm...Pass rush specialist OLB in the 3-4. Nice small school sleeper. Some places had him as a 4th rounder.

More from Jeremiah.

"Arhur Moats was a steal in the 6th round"

I know I'm **** riding but he's a former scout and tweets frequently.

He's around 6ft and 240-250 lbs. Runs a 4.66 40 (I think).

From Sporting News/Russ Lande

Height: 6-0 Weight: 246
40-yard dash: 4.67 10-yard dash: 1.62
20-yard shuttle: 4.38
Broad jump: 10-2 225-lb. bench: 24
3-cone drill: 7.23 Vertical jump: 36
20-yard dash: 2.68

Strengths: Is well-built. Plays with intensity; is always around the ball. Consistently makes big plays, including tackles behind the line of scrimmage. Tight ends have difficulty blocking him one-on-one. Shows good instincts. Plays with natural leverage. Is good getting off blocks and making tackles all over the field. Has the bulk to take a consistent pounding.

Weaknesses: Is a 'tweener, a college defensive end who must move to outside linebacker. Must improve agility to be effective in in coverage. Lacks great lateral speed. Tackling technique must improve. Tends to use shoulder tackles, knocking targets down rather than wrapping up. Has limited range against the run.

Bottom line: Moats will be a solid small-school pick who could become a good linebacker if he can make the transition quickly. He is disruptive, a good pass rusher who be sound against the run. Coaches must focus on his open-field play. He also could become a rush end. Moats will be a solid mid-round selection and could develop into a starter.

It's very obvious that the goal of this draft was to address the defense....maybe next year the team will address the offensive problems. They've taken some good players, hopefully they produce in the NFL.

Judging by his player profile on NFL.com...

I'd be shocked if he's anything more than a special teams contributor.

But it's the 6th round, if he pans out great, if not, no big deal.

seems like we are trying to build a run first offense and a aggressive run stuffing defense

I like it!

If Edwards don't pan out this year we upgrade the QB next year.

we coulda took Clausen in the 2nd and it wouldn't of been a reach he was projected a 1st

I just watched Bills scout Tim Roth over at BB talking about Moats. He's usually pretty reserved but he is absolutely gushing over this guy. Said he was one of his favorite players to scout. Dominating.

Says you

I didn't want him because of those tiny hands. It's a recipe for disaster IMHO... In Buffalo with freezing temps strong winds he would struggle. He's perfect for Carolina though. He;ll do better there

I didn't want any QB in this draft unless it was a late rounder and I still want the Bills to make a move in next years draft for a franchise arm.

Let's wait on the QB next year issue. We may just find a qualified starter on the roster in Brohm, Edwards, or Brown.
