Making Sense Out Of The Front Seven

I know it really early, But here is how I see it.....

    Starters:
    LDE - Stroud
    DT - K Williams
    RDE -D Edwards

    LOLB - Schobel (Kelsey)
    ILB - Mitchel
    ILB - Poz
    ROLB - Maybin

    Depth:
    LDE - S Spencer
    DT - Troup (McCargo)
RDE - Carrington (Week four Starter)

    LOLB -Ellis
    ILB - A Davis
    ILB - Ellison
    ROLB - Kelsey

    General Notes:

I was really....REALLY upset when the Bills drafted Maybin last year with Orakpo OTB last year (rightfully so). However, I think he will Have a great year this year, as a rush OLB in a 3-4. Perfect fit for him.

I LOVE the DL picks this year. They will both be on the field A LOT this year. I think Carrington will be a starter very early into the season.

As pathetic as the O-Line was last year, especially in pass protection, the run defense was even worse. I think it will now be a strength.

Two 6th round picks spent on OLBs Probably means that Schobel and possibly Kelsey are gone.

This draft has shown that the Bills want to run the ball and stop the run... Power football.... Which I love, and have been waiting for for SO LONG!!! After the extreme disappointment I have felt after the last 5 drafts (at least) I can honestly say this is as excited as I have been about a Bills football team in a LONG time!

    Go Bills!!

PS.... I am 1000% satisfied with the Bills QB Depth Chart, as the Bills just added Levi Brown, A BARGAIN at the end of the draft.

Would not be suprised to see Mitchell, Johnson and even Kelsay gone.
Kelsay would be a 7 million dollar backup. Don't underestimate Moats, he will be a backup, but still in the mix.

            You better believe it.

Carrington/Troup/Edwards on running downs and Stroud/Williams/Johnson in passing situations. This is how I'm viewing our DL, at least for now, we will see if they are willing to pay Stroud 9 million dollars to be a rotational player.

No way Ellison is a back up in the middle he is way too small..
Batten will be an OLB and Moats ILB. The Bills will be looking for depth at ILB another vet may be needed...I don't see Kelsey converting to the 3-4 ...i think he will stuggle to play the OLB...

Unfortunately, they are going to have to eat some of the contracts previously made no matter what. Kelsay, for instance, doesn't really fit into this scheme at all and has never produced. But why should this FO be penalized for the idiodicies of the previous regime? Hopefully they are giving some space to do what they want. From the results for this draft, I would say they are getting that space.

He could play in the 3-3-5 as a tweener, same goes for Nic Harris and an UDFA who I really like, Rico McCoy.
