We land a left tackle or Bell/Meredith really steps up, a QB rises from the ashes and surprises, the defense plays really well under the new scheme, rookies and FA's contribute significantly, we catch a couple of breaks, and by the end of the season all of the morons are slapping their foreheads and stating "Whoa...Who would've thunk it?"

That would be special.

I have to be a homer on the rare occasion...Bomber has about 5 years on me, but after 40 total, and almost 20 since we were last relevant, I'm ready for a return to the early '90's.

Why couldn't it happen?? There are many unknowns that exist. I think the biggest difference on this team will be play calling, and the fact for the first time in 10 years we actually have a proven QB coach. The fact is Jauron and company really screwed this team offensively. Who knows what with happen with some creative play calling,mixed with a dynamic rookie RB. If I remember correctly this team hung with the Patriots in game 1 last year, when we had a healthy team. By game 16, we had 21 on IR. Strength and Conditioning coaches are much better this year, which sould make a difference. Anything can happen.
