At least we wouldn't be looked at as a joke. Rules are meant to be enforced. The NHL is a joke.

i agree, the fact the rules get thrown out at the most important part of the year is beyond me.

If the instigator is an act of retailiation, how the **** does it get called an instigator in the first place? You either instigate or retaliate- it can't be both by definition.

that's the problem with the NHLs rules: too much ambiguity written in and too much subjectivity in enforcement.

Can you really blame Bettman on the rules? he doesn't make them... He does all the other ****ty stuff like fix the NHL lottery and put the NHL on a crappy TV station that only 1/4 of the country gets. He's one of the main reasons hockey is below the WNBA and WPS...
