This is a tough question. We all know that the same pussies will be back next year. So it's really not about who we think will stay and who we think will leave. It's who we want to get rid of...

Honestly, I'm sick and tired of Tim Connolly. I'd get rid of him in a heartbeat. He epitomizes what is wrong with the Sabres...injury prone, scared to hit and be hit, too busy passing the puck and never shooting the puck and basically just a pussy!

He's one of the guys that is expected to score a lot and he shows flashes in some games, but isn't consistant. I also would put Jason Pominville right there with him.

Our captain is old and not that good...so good bye Craig Rivet!

Oh ****...how could I forget about Drew Stafford? He's definitely outta here. He's useless and can't score for us. It's too bad because he showed some nice potential a few years ago.

This about says it all. These are the only two untouchables. Move some of the talent for picks or people who play a different style. Some of the kids in Portland nee a chance. Next year we should see Ennis, Gerbe, Kassien, Weber get a full year to see what they've got.

I am going to give Connolly more of a pass than others during the playoffs because he was not in game shape going into the playoffs and it showed. Plus I think he was still hurting more than he let on.
Four guys that stood out that should not be in Buffalo anymore are:
Tallinder- Being paired with Myers made his numbers look better than he played. He is a stay at home defenseman that showed he is regressing and not the same player he once was. Too many mistakes for a player that is one dimensional
Rivet- The guy has heart but it is clear age and years of playing at a high level has taken its toll. He is a shadow of his former self
Stafford- This guy is a 4th line journeyman that will never live up to his potential. The guy simply has not got better. Too soft and not consistanst scoring.
Pominville- Gets paid too much and disappears for long stretches. He never played at a playoff level and is a poster child of why the Sabres cannot succeed in the playoffs if he is one of the guys that needs to step up. With players like Gerbe and Ennis and other guys ready to step up the Sabres can only have so many soft players. Throw in his salary and it is a no brainer.
