As I have said all along....

Edwards is going to be the starter.

People please use common sense for a moment.

I'm in the camp that Edwards is most likely not a legitmate starter for the Bills but there is no way he's not going to start for us this year. Whether he stays the starter certainly is up for debate.

Simply put Edwards is the best QB on the team and there is no reason to believe that he won't win an open competition in camp. Furthermore, the coaching staff is obvioulsy still open to the idea that Edwards may be able to do the job just based on how they approached the draft.

Fitzpatrick has proven that he's a capable backup and this is why we signed him.

Brohm has no legitimate shot at being the starter because he won't win an open QB battle in camp. The same problem he had in Green Bay.

Chan Gailey also likes a deliberate QB which is what he gets with Edwards. If Edwards fails this year however there will be no one to blame but himself.

If he's right in the head, he can do it. But it's hard to tell when the problem is psychological. He certainly cannot be trusted, and he has to earn the job back, but it's disconcerting to know that we won't really know if he's fixed until he's faced with live ammunition.

Perhaps, but he has a totally different situation in Buffalo - different coaches, different competition, differrent offensive schemes. Thus, I don't think it's a given that he can't succeed here.
Should have known, way back in 1960 when we drafted Richie Lucas Number 1, that this would be a long, hard ride. But who could have known it would be THIS bad?

I think that Buddy Nix wants Brian Brohm to win the job and I see it happening!

Im interested in seeing what Edwards can do with an offensive minded coach, and practicing against a 3-4 defense all the time in practice.

I think Brohm is the favorite.

Edwards is not Nix's pick he didnt bring him in, he did bring in Brohm though.

Brohm has the arm and college production Nix likes. Edwards couldn't even throw a 15 yard out last year without a near INT or complete errant throw, that has nothing to do with confusion, Edwards doesn't have the arm IMO to make seam throws, stick throws and deep sideline throws. Brohm does.

                        i think fitz is gone.
I think edwards and brohm is a close battle.

i think if edwards wins, he'll be injured by week 5.
I think if brohm isn't a serious consideration, they wouldn't have brought him in.

Brohm was under the offensive tutelage of Perry Fewell and AVP. Not a good way to teach up. Perhaps Gailey and crew get the hamsters to spin the wheel a little faster in the entire QB collective's brain.

At this point, all we have is hope.

Once again, my sources tell me Brohm, "is the worst QB ever"... that's from a teammate.

                              Don't care.

This season is a waste anyway. Get the young guys some experience and get a real QB next off-season.
