Bills signed Wayne State RB Joique Bell.
Bell is built solidly at 5'11/220 and scored 100 career TDs in 44 college games, but his yards-per-carry average at the D-II level fell precipitously and annually after a 348-carry freshman season. He also exhibited no wiggle at the Senior Bowl and didn't top 4.65 in the forty-yard dash at February's Combine. We wouldn't bet on him making Buffalo's final roster.

I am willing to bet he makes the roster, or at least the practice squad.

Whatever you'd bet, Id triple it, that's how confident I am in this kids ability. And on the plus side I should be able to interview him before camp starts.

I'm hoping Naaman can be a local feel-good story.

Actually I'm hoping all these guys will be great.

Well the Bills need to do something with Lynch of he's going to make the 53. I'm not sure we'll carry 4 RBs.

I really do not think we are going to just cut Lynch, but if Nix is serious about turning this thing around, he might have to cut his losses and take Day3 pick for him. But it might be worth it in the locker room. And I'm sure $20 bills everywhere will be appreciative!

You guys are delirious. The only way he can make the roster, is if a trade happens with either FJ or Lynch. With so many holes on the Oline and a new defense, I doubt we keep 4 roster spots for RBs...

Thanks for the videos.

With Bell, I agree with Ingtar - the kid looks like he's gliding. His top half barely seems to move when he's running. Also gives the illusion of being slow, but seemed to consistently outrun guys (albeit at the D-II level).

My favorite thing about Bell was his balance. There were so many times I thought for sure he was going out of bounds, but he stayed in bounds 99% of the time.

Roosevelt: great hands. Saw a lot of balls poorly thrown that he still took to the house or grabbed fluidly. Also saw a lot of out routes and bubble screens. I like how the video was made.

Destin: He made some good plays, but especially in the first part of the video, he seemed to get beat a lot then got bailed out by poorly thrown footballs. Half of those throws, if they led the receiver, would have been TD's for the other team instead of INT's for Destin. Seemed to lack speed at times.

Why wouldnt we?

We have 1 RB one issue away from being suspended and many of the successful teams do it;

Giants
Ravens
Cardinals
Patriots
Saints

And its not like he guaranteed the 53 roster alone, he said that or the PS. To not have a 4th RB in case Lynch screws up or an injury occurs makes little sense to me.

The practice squad would seem a likely landing place unless we move Lynch. Unless this guy is a special teams stud he would be inactive on gameday anyway so why use a roster spot?

It's possible if they get rid of the FB and keep 4 RB's. Not sure how important the FB is to Gailey, especially if he runs the spread.

I just think, with all the injuries we've had on the Oline or at LB, he will likely choose to keep more personnel in those areas than at RB. I'm not saying dump Bell - but put him on the PS. The ideal situation (if they feel Bell is worth keeping that is) is to generate a trade with either FJ or Lynch and they may wait until injuries begin to occur in TC, preseason or maybe even the 1st few games, to do so.

Camp Fodder/Injury insurance.

Won't hurt anything, but doesn't help either.

Ah, always willing to give a young guy a chance.

NOT THE DUDE...

i think roosevelt looks like a real steal, that dude has mad rac skills and tremendous feeling for zones and then accelerates upfield... hes a 4.55 guy like andre reed was , similar skill set to reed also....

he runs some pretty crappy routs... that needs to get better before he turns into Andre Reed.

More athlete than WR right now (former HS QB, and played a little QB at UB). Needs a lot of work, I think he's behind guys like David Nelson and probably close to even with Donald Jones in terms of WR skill level.

Jones has the best potential of them all though.

I think its more than ideal for us to keep 4 runningbacks on the roster. Lynch is one incident away from being done for a year, and if we are a full on run team, it wouldn't hurt to have another set of legs to depend on.
