Buffalo Bills
In Buddy Nix’s first year as general manager, the Bills could be criticized from outsiders for reaching. But C.J. Spiller (http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/players/23984/;_ylt=Ai.hAfFSsx8.7qReADB3CjEhq7J_)(notes) (http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/players/23984/news;_ylt=Ai7YnfJxF9eH1ImjHcPPzL4hq7J_) was not expected to last another pick and NT Torell Troup (http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/players/24016;_ylt=AvmqyYIiRbc58DyWGPrSoqghq7J_) had increased value with a run on strong pluggers in the second round. Both can be expected to make immediate impacts at critical positions on each side of the ball, not to mention the impact Spiller could have on special teams. Like Troup, Alex Carrington (http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/players/24047/;_ylt=ApqDwYAwi2PYnpLtD88mY9Ihq7J_)(notes) (http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/players/24047/news;_ylt=Anmn5RjXyACiRiEEVUOIOiwhq7J_) also could provide a key piece to the Bills’ new “30” front. In the last three rounds, the Bills added solid depth with the selection of five developmental-type prospects. Marcus Easley (http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/players/24082/;_ylt=AnKdu9Ql9tj178OGpQYyI0ghq7J_)(notes) (http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/players/24082/news;_ylt=AsUZOZt6Wy8ucF1TGwfo0zshq7J_) has upside. Ed Wang (http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/players/24116/;_ylt=Ar2xXMqa.d4lcE2u8Vcn8k8hq7J_)(notes) (http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/players/24116/news;_ylt=AuVge3Ya.SVSKl7eAmG1ebAhq7J_) is a functional backup. Arthur Moats (http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/players/24154/;_ylt=Av6m5z3HJOljBsyRewwLmVghq7J_)(notes) (http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/players/24154/news;_ylt=Ar0BDr5vP4LjqXpnyhCQ1oIhq7J_) and Danny Batten (http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/players/24168/;_ylt=ArBpuiAaD1gyej2o6OnBQkAhq7J_)(notes) (http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/players/24168/news;_ylt=Ag3mQ8JiUpeNJzKGS.x3YCMhq7J_) are developmental, small-school hybrid rushers. Levi Brown (http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/players;_ylt=AvL6SLwFLWRPwB21pDLknTEhq7J_?type=lastname&first=1&query=Levi+Brown&q=Levi+Brown) may turn out to be a steal in the seventh. And Kyle Calloway (http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/players/24192/;_ylt=AgMftFbPpdH4M7HzCZm_PeIhq7J_)(notes) (http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/players/24192/news;_ylt=Auul3L.mjg55XiNPZVsXEn0hq7J_) could turn out to be a solid pickup. All nine picks stand a chance to make the roster, and the first three picks should start readily. Landing a difference maker and Pro Bowl-caliber talent like Spiller was a plus.
Grade: B-plus...........

Like I mentioned in other threads. You can tell the hacks from the educated analysis'

This guy talks about the Bills need as a whole, he doesn't just focus on QB and LT

Sounds to me like a pretty fair review. I'm not sure Levi Brown won't be relegated to the PS this season, but that may not be a bad thing unless someone signs him away from the Bills like Buffalo did to the Packers with Brohm last season.

I would cut Fitzpatrick before I'd put Brown on the practice squad.

Me too.

Buffalo should get significant contributions from the top three, maybe four picks. Spiller isn't going to supplant Jackson this season, but he should see the field enough times in enough situations to have the opportunity to make plays. I would expect Troup to start, and Carrington to get a heavy rotation. Easley could go either way, just due to the nature of the position...WR is a tough transition from college to pro's.

Moats and Batten will be back-ups/special teams, but it wouldn't surprise me if one was cut. Wang may make the squad just because of the dearth of talent at the tackle position, and Calloway may be PS to start the season at least. Wouldn't surprise me if one of these guys were cut also.
