Versatile defensive end excels on special teams
The two obstacles standing in Adalius Thomas' way to remaining a starting defensive end are Marques Douglas and himself.
The Ravens opened their veterans camp yesterday with Thomas and Douglas splitting time on the right side. But Douglas may have an edge in this competition because of Thomas' versatility.
Because Thomas is equally valuable on special teams, the three-year veteran could be used more as a situational player on defense to keep him from wearing down. ..
