Charles Brown has a bum knee

Find all the latest Rotoworld fantasy sports news, live coverage, videos, highlights, stats, predictions, and results right here on NBC Sports.

NFL Network's Charley Casserly reports that OT Charles Brown fell to the Saints at the 64th overall pick in the draft due to a knee injury.
Casserly likened the situation to that of Ravens second-round pick Sergio Kindle. Kindle was rumored to need microfracture knee surgery following the first day of the draft. The players appear to have been medically cleared by the teams that picked them. Brown is third on the left tackle depth chart in New Orleans, behind Jammal Brown and '09 starter Jermon Bushrod.

I'd still like to see a trade for one of NO's LTs.

      Brown. He's better than Bushrod.

kindle has played the past 2 full years with no issues since his last injury.

Kindle's knee injury happened during his post season workouts...not during a game.

Very interesting. Could explain the Bills rationale on drafting an OT in the 2nd.

I don't think it does tbh. I'd say the only way we drafted a starting LT, was if either Okung or Williams were available @ 9.
Nix wanted guys who would immediately contribute from his first two picks.
I think that almost whoever they took first, meant they were going to go NT with their second pick. I'm fairly certain that the attempts made to trade back into the first round, were because they were trying to take Dan Williams, and when that fell through, they sat pat to take Troup.
About the only other alternative I can see to Spiller on their board at #9, was McClain, and the Raiders took him just before.
