I'm a scant 5'10" and my hand size in 9 inches. Clausen at 6'3" with the same hand size as I have is kind of a freak, and not in a good sense. I wouldn't think 9 1/2 would be much of a problem.

I think people put too much stock into a players hand size. Does Drew Brees have huge hands? Did Doug Flutie have huge hands?

And I am pretty sure there have been some QBs with HUGE hands that sucked balls.

I am 5' 8.5" and have a 9 inch hand

I know from my own experience gripping a pro fottball is hard to do without extra effort in trying to stretch those fingers to get a secure enough grip.


I was against us drafting Clausen purely on that one stat...

As for Levi Brown... I think the kid can develope... if we don't rush him, but it also does not excuse this franchise from making the bold move for a franchise arm in 2011
