Who were the bills trading up for

Buddy Nix mentioned that they had a trade in place to move back up into the first round to get a guy they liked I wonder who it was.

    My guesses:

    Bulaga
    Odrick

Anyone have any idea on who the player was????

Based on the way we reached for Troup I would say it was Dan Williams.

it was jerry hughes, he would have been the perfect pass rusher in the 3-4. just cause we drafted troup doesnt mean they had to have a nose tackle and got nervous after williams was gone. it just means that troup was their highest player on their board at the time of the pick.... after all they said they never draft a positional need over the best player available on their board at any pick so troup must have been better than every other player available at 41 to nix and gailey :) lol!

I think it was Dez Bryant. He got taken at #24. Nix said they wanted to trade up to #25 where the Broncos took Tebow but they aborted because the guy they wanted was already taken. The Broncos probably thought we were trying to trade up to take Tebow which is why they panicked and gave up a lot to get the #25 pick.

Nope. Dan Williams was taken #26. Doesn't add up. Listen to the interview. He specifically mentions that the guy they wanted to trade up for was gone before #25.

They could have been targeting Dan Williams at #25

Then he would have still been on the board and they would have made the trade.

Baltimore with the 25th pick was the pick that was up for grabs. Buffalo was trying to trade into it and so was Denver. Denver thought Buffalo was trying to get it to take Tebow as well so they paid a lot for the pick. Once Bryant went off the board at #24 though, Buffalo backed out and Denver ended up at #25.

MY source who was in the bills' war room told me that Ralphy told NIx to get on the phone to trade back into the 1st for the guy he wants. Nix got on the phone and asked who we were trading for and Ralphy replied "Spiller"

Jerry Hughes didn't go until round 2. It couldn't have been him.

Nevermind, I just remembered he went at the end of round 1. It still couldn't have been him though.
