None of us want to see that silly. lol.

I think someone on here mentioned they saw Wood at a movie theater, and that he was already walking, with a very noticeable limp however.

I'm pretty sure he's on schedule to at least play this season, not sure about the start of the season. Wouldn't suprise me if he starts this year on the PUP list.

NOT THE DUDE...

Really? Nice. The kid has a bright future. Was my favorite player last year before the injury. Well, actually 2nd favorite (Byrd).

Yes and that was disputed a day later when Gaughen saw him working out without one.

Not that it is football related, but he did post on his Facebook that he played golf the other day. I know it is not contact, but it is still twisting and turning on your legs.

Also, the staff has said on a couple of occasions this off-season that he is ahead of schedule and might be ready at the start of Training Cam instead of towards the end. We need this guy to come back healthy. Hoping for the best

i'm not a doctor but i believe we will see him by the end of training camp. just my humble opinion.

his leg is already healed. not to the point of being able to play nfl football but it is healed. i'm just worried about the psychological anxiety that will befall on him when he starts playing again.

Didn't click the link, because if it shows Woods leg being snapped, that's something I don't ever want to see again. Horrible injury.....

I really believed he'd be a great player, and hopefully this will end up being a speed bump on his way there.

I'll bet money that he doesn't play this year.

i think this is all mental now. i'm sure he'll be ready to go. let's just see how he is returning to the scene of the crime so to speak. he may be so focused on not getting hurt that he may not be the same blocker as before. that's a serious concern for me.

Depends on who you believe. A fan's conversation with Wood. (http://www.buffalorumblings.com/2010/5/10/1466523/my-conversation-with-eric-wood)

Everything that I have read indicates that Wood is doing fine, his rehab may even be ahead of schedule, and he has had no serious complications or set backs. Call me naive, but I have no reason to believe that he is going to miss the season, or a substantial amount of time, or whatever else the medical experts on here are surmising.

i want to quell your pessimistic view on this. take a look. same exact break but on the opposite leg. this guy will be playing this year just as eric wood will be playing this year.

When my brother was 12 years old, he was hit by a car while riding bicycle. The result was a splintered femur. He spent 8 weeks in traction after having pins inserted through his leg. This was followed by 8 weeks in a cast that covered the full length of the broken leg, went around his waste and down to the knee on his good leg. He was on crutches for a few months after that. I say all that because I don't think Wood's break was as bad. He broke both his tibia and fibula, but I think there was only one break in each. I don't believe there was any involvement with the joint. I think that at least one rod was inserted to hold one of the bones in place. I wouldn't be surprised if both the tibia and fibula had rods surgically inserted. Once the bones were healed, it would simply be a matter of regaining strength in the muscle. I wouldn't minimize that, because if you've had to rest it for a long time, it will take a long time to regain muscle mass and strength. It's still an easier rehab than some injuries, like an ACL or a ruptured achilles.
