When Bills rookie speed demon C.J. Spiller (http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/player/profile?playerId=192151) thinks about what his "Madden NFL 11" skill ratings should be, one number comes to mind.


"I don't want to see anything less than 97," he tells me with a confident grin. "Ninety-seven speed, 97 acceleration, 97 catching, 97 vision."


But when I tell him how EA Sports usually drops the rookies way down from what they're used to seeing in the "NCAA Football" franchise, all Spiller can do is laugh.

"I know I'll probably be disappointed," he says, "but I just wanted to throw those numbers out there. Gives me something to shoot for this year. If I have a big year, they have to make me better in the game."

UPDATE: EA Sports just hit me up with Spiller's official "Madden NFL 11" ratings. Looks like he will make a huge impact in this year's game with that kind of speed and acceleration.
Speed: 95
Acceleration: 97
Vision: 73
Catching: 74

Spiller comes off as a great guy. I really like the way he has carried himself thus far.

How can they give him a 73 for catching? That's a crime, I'd start a protest.

I will def be buying Madden this year. Passed on it this past season and just played ncaa instead.

without checking, Is there a thread somewhere listing ps3/360 logins so we can play together?

he can only control what his speed graqde will be in madden 2011 and hopefully ti will be 98+ lol

I hate the offseason. But then again, with the way this team will be, Ill hate the season as well.

RBs rarely break 80 catching regardless of what they do receiving, I used to contribute to the Bills ratings for 07-09, but now they literally have one person doing the ratings and they're godawful.

I like to trade everybody for draft picks, even free agents, I'm not happy unless I have 10 1st round picks in the first draft.
