    QB rankings

    Not too surprised at this.

    32. Buffalo Bills: Coach Chan Gailey is a clever man who has done a lot over the years with flawed quarterbacks. Be it Kordell Stewart or Jay Fiedler(notes), Gailey somehow made it work in the past. At least his quarterbacks are bright (Trent Edwards(notes) went to Stanford and backup Ryan Fitzpatrick(notes) is from Harvard). That said, Edwards regressed badly last year and a concussion didn’t help. Fitzpatrick has the look of a JAG (Just A Guy). Maybe Brian Brohm(notes) has something to add, but that certainly wasn’t the case when he was in Green Bay.

Ben Roethlisberger's absence creates uncertainty and takes the Steelers out of top four consideration.

    Quick question. ???????

Where does the sports writer rank among other sports writers ?

He may be right , but ........using his own words ,,,,,He's the JAG ( just another guy )

        Re: QB rankings

From that list, it seems to me that the only possible argument would be to switch Cleveland and Buffalo. At this point, I'd have a hard time saying Jake Delhomme is better than any QB we have, but it's a matter of perspective. 32 or 31...it really doesn't matter.

32... great place to start because:

          A. This guy has no idea what will happen when the games are actually played

          B. There's only one direction to go!

32 is not so bad. He could have put some teams back ups ahead of our garbage.

AJ Feeley, Josh Freeman, Jason Campbell and Mark Sanchez are better than what we have as proven starters?

That says a lot about this organization... or who actually cares what 1 guy feels?

I wouldn't say Feeley is, but with Bradford as the 1a in St. Louis, it's a better situation than we have. Freeman is better (more potential to get better). Jason Campbell is better by far - just look at his stats compared to any of our QB's. Sanchez...is arguable, imo. I don't think he's very good, but he's got more potential than any of our guys.

I point the Campbell argument to the people who said he wasn't worth any pick for the Bills... Freeman is a 2nd year guy, who knows what he'll do. Feeley is worthless, and Sanchez will thrive yet again on a running game. Edwards/Fitzpatrick/Brohm/Brown, who knows what they'll do, but damn, to put them dead last is fine by me, let's see which one prevails in the regular season and gets us to 25!

Haha, well I did want Campbell, so I guess it wasn't directed at me.

I think guys like Sanchez (despite having the benefit of a GREAT defense and GREAT running game) and Freeman simply get the benefit of the doubt ahead of our guys. I believe our team as a whole will get us to a 5-11 or 6-10 record (obviously not a good one, but better than some teams). But I do think our QB situation overall and for the future is right near last place, from what we currently know.

Perfect wording. FROM WHAT WE KNOW, then most certainly we should be considered last place.

Fitzy can manage the game but seems like one of the mentally slower QB's in the league when it comes to decision making.

Edwards, as long as he doesn't get slammed to the ground prior to it, seems like a game controller, but has that little sissy on his shoulder screaming "DUCK!" "RUN FOR COVER!"

Brohm, with 3rd string reps (AKA very little reps in the season) was a robot, simple system QB and his performance should reflect very small if whatsoever on his ability. It's tough to show potential when you're tossed in to an NFL role after getting an eighth of the snaps in practice to no names.

Levi Brown = Rookie. That's all I got.

More power to the dude in wasting time picking who is the best QB class among 32 teams and getting paid for it, but we will see who prevails. Do I predict the Bills? No way. But journalists like him are amazingly lucky.

                            He's not.

6 picks against the preseason rated 31st team in the NFL apparently makes him the worst QB in the NFL according to 3 guys who think so.

Oh ****! Now it makes sense. He's mediocre.

Why is Arizona four spots ahead of us. Their situation is just as bad, imo.
