All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!

I like seeing this. He may be a 5th round pick, but that seems to indicate the four picks made after him will sign relatively soon. Also, the Bills used to wait until about a week before TC to sign anyone, whether it was a 7th rounder or 1st rounder.

I like signing our players early. Last year, Ellis Lankster and Cary Harris didn't sign until July 7. So we are over a month ahead of schedule.
Which is good because it will help us get a jump start on signing Spiller. We don't want a repeat of last year where we took our sweet time signing our high round rookies.
Spiller may not be the kind of kid to hold out, but if I know agents, and I know a few, Spiller is a holy grail type prospect. Top ten pick, best playmaker in the draft, first at his position to be picked, highly touted coming out of college... So the agent will try to get what he can.
It was a Chinese thing, or east Asia culture where they really believe what Wang's dad said in the BB video: "it's just a beginning."
If you truly believe it's a beginning, then the difference of the max he could get vs what he got is negligible compares to what he will get in his second contract.
What he does not know is that he'll be out of NFL in 3 years. This is North America, not China.
