The Buffalo Bills are excited about undrafted rookie safety Brett Johnson.
And that's not only because of the 6-foot-1, 195-pounder's physical attributes that includes a 42 1/2 inch vertical leap, a 10-9 broad jump and a 4.43 clocking in the 40-yard dash.
"When I came in for the minicamp, I was first approached by coach Adrian White," Johnson told the Buffalo News. "And the first thing he said to me was, "Man, you can play. I watched your film. You like to come down and hit people. You caused a lot of havoc back there.'
"So that let me know that the Bills weren't going off my pro-day

I wonder if Nic Harris is going to have any spot on this team...He doesnt fit the 3-4 and theres going to be a log jam at safety...

We won't get into my opinion on NFP and a few of their people but Mike Lombardi who started the site has moved onto the NFLN now.

There is more to it, but that's a good summation.

He seems to have all of Wendling's athleticism, and a little better resume of college experience. Maybe he is a better safety than Wendling, who was exclusively a special teamer.

I think it's also been said that the draft was very deep at CB and safety, so in certain respects, it shouldn't really come as that much of a surprise. While the bills didn't draft any corners, for example, Nix did actually say that a couple of the UDFA corners they did sign, had draftable grades anyway.

Our entire team is a bunch of projects that we can only just pray that we got a "steal".

Keeping this guy is purely for special teams. I think he ends up on the practice squad.
