I'm surprised you haven't. I have read a number of them myself in the local papers. Try google you will find them. Not hard to unbuckle if you have your wits about you.

The point is they don't tell me I have to wear a helmet & they should not be allowed to tell me I have to wear a seatbelt. It should be personal choice.

You don't have family, friends, etc? Yeah, I suppose it's your choice, but a pretty selfish one if you ask me.

I myself wear a helmet & I wear a seatbelt because of the law. I understand what you are saying about it being a selfish decision but I maintain it should be my decision not the States. I think this law is a means to collect money nothing more.

I am not disputing seatbelts can save lives, I just don't think it should be a law you have to wear one. In my mind the lady that swerved was at fault & it should bother her.

Just to clarify, it is NOT the law in PA. In PA, they have to pull you over for another violation before they can bust you for the seat belt. That alone will not get you pulled over. Same thing goes for being on a cell phone.

The guy who got us was hiding behind the tolls just crossing the state line and I wasn't even driving, so I was a little surprised that I'm also being fined.

Looking back on it, I should have plead ignorance that it isn't the law in PA and I didn't know but we were in too much of a hurry.
