    Comments:

    9/6/2010- vs. Boise St.

    1st Qtr:
12:30- Blown up in the backfield.
9:01- Decent vision cutting back into the hole. Has quickness. Runs down hill.
0:57- Getting dominated in this game but he runs right into the tacklers.

    2nd Qtr:
13:50- Nice cut back showing good vision. Shows some break tackle ability.
13:17- Great wiggle breaking tackles in the backfield. Play ends up as a loss but he shows his athletic ability.
11:44- What an effort blowing through the huge hit to get the extra yard for the TD. Looks very rugged. Can't question whether he can take a pounding. Just watch this TD run and you will get your answer.
10:09- Takes what's there and gets a few yards.
0:57- Showed soft hands on the TD reception.

    3rd Qtr:
8:05- Rugged run, drags tacklers for the 1st down.
7:17- Gets flipped up and drilled and gets right back up.
6:34- Nice bounce to the outside for the easy TD run.
5:23- Decent job blocking. Pushed the rusher wide.
3:29- Another nice catch. Defender draped on him.

    4th Qtr:
10:07- Comes out, a bit shaken up.

Ryan Williams is a rugged bowling ball with decent vision and good speed. He's also a decent receiving option out of the backfield.

    1/4/2011- vs. VT

    1st Qtr:

6:10- Has the wiggle but gets eaten up at the line.
4:54- Decent job bouncing outside for a few extra yards. Has the quicks.

    2nd Qtr:

Posted by ESPN.com's Heather Dinich In a matter of months, Virginia Tech running back Ryan Williams ran the gamut of emotions from mad about redshirting in 2008 to so excited about his role in 2009 that he tripped over his words as he tried to explain it.
