Comments:

9/14/2010- vs. Miami

1st Qtr:
9:44- Blows by the LG and tackles for a loss.
8:41- Has an effective bull rush with great speed and leverage, is blowing back Franklin consistently.
2:55- Heads up play blowing by Franklin for the tackle.

3rd Qtr:
12:40- Gets manhandled by Franklin.
11:19- Smooth dropping into coverage and got the big INT.

4th Qtr:
8:03- Strong bull rusher. Blows back Franklin with ease.

In this game, Heyward showed great toughness and strength. He is a gifted bull rusher who can collapse the pocket.

1/4/2011- vs. Ark

1st Qtr:
10:25- Looks lean for his size.
9:56- Got a bit of push.
6:12- Not looking as physical as you would like so far. Seems to be having trouble shedding blocks.
3:09- Bull rush is really his primary move. You would like to see him be stronger at the point and more able to shed blocks if he's strictly a bull rusher.

2nd Qtr:
13:57- Shows that he can shed blocks and make the tackle.
8:00- Highlight play, absolutely blew up this run in the backfield like a Mack truck.
5:07- Solid job in the hole, stopping the run.
3:59- Heyward came off the field... left arm injury.
1:42- Turned his game way up... more pressure.

Heyward showed he can be a dominant force and a stud as a bull rusher and at shedding blocks and making tackles for losses. He probably gained some ground and may end up a mid to late round 1 pick at this point.
