Comments:

9/6/2010- vs. Temple

1st Qtr:
*Going against #43, Adrian Robinson lined up as a DE.
12:59- Pushes into Robinson and moves him back. Was a double team.
12:24- Runs out to the left on the screen. Isn't very quick at all. Has a nice big frame.
10:43- Locks his arms out and blows the defender back. Has some strength.
9:25- Nice downfield block at the second level. Has long arms.
0:16- Gets some push on the run play. He doesn't appear to be as intense as you would like. Has thick legs and does a decent job setting a wide base. Uses good leverage.

2nd Qtr:
13:32- Fires out and blocks his man pretty well. He relies on using his long arms to drive the defenders.
12:37- Does a decent job staying with his man running around on the left side. He has some mobility but does lumber a bit.
9:42- Nice job on the blitz by Robinson. He sets up his wall and uses his strength and arms to sustain the block.
9:24- Blocks high on this run play but he usually uses good leverage.
8:11- Defenders just seem to get lost against him. He creates the wll with his big body and they cant seem to get off him.
5:37- Fantastic job sustaining the block to spring the runner. Running as he's blocking and made the play work. Deceptively strong, he wins the battle on this play and contains the big DT.
4:40- Nice job chipping and then blocking at the 2nd level.

3rd Qtr:
12:02- Nice job walling off the defender at the 2nd level to create a hole.
10:43- Fantastic job on Robinson. Fights with him and blows him 6 yards down field.
10:15- Gets beat inside for the sack by #9, Jarrett. The rush was on but he tried to block him from his side instead of getting in front of him.
1:04- Absorbs the pass rusher. Seems to take very good angles and knows where to setup.

4th Qtr:
14:49- Great job kick sliding and keeping with Robinson. Walls him off.
2:04- Robinson had the edge with his speed but Ben adjusted and kept him at bay.

Ben has very good technique and seems to do a great job sustaining blocks and taking defenders out of the play. He kick slides well, takes the right angles, and makes a nice pocket. He has good strength and uses it well to control his defenders. He doesn't appear to be nimble enough to play LT, but he has enough quickness to play RT. He is able to block on the run, in free space, pretty much anywhere. He shows push in the run game but he needs to play abit more intense and show a mean streak.
