Not selected were Eric Lindros (http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/teams/players/?name=eric+lindros) and Joe Nieuwendyk (http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/teams/players/?name=joe+nieuwendyk). Both were in their first year of eligibility and seen as possible top candidates.

Lindros is not a HOFer. No way. Ciccerelli is not a HOFer. Nieuwendyk?? meh. Better to go with no new members than to force it.

Not sure, that wouldn't be a very entertaining Hall Of Fame party though.

I disagree on both. Lindros never lived up to the insane expectations, but was a fantastic player.

Ciccarelli is 16th all time in scoring, not too shabby at all.
