    Trent Edwards stats

    Trents 5 best performances ever

    1. KC- 273 yds, 2 TDs, 24-32 (KC bottom 5 team) Longest play, 51 yds
    2. SD- 261 yds, 1 TD, 25-30 (SD missed playoffs) Longest play, 22 yds
    3. Mia- 165 yds, 4 TDs, 11-23 Longest play- 70 yds
    4. NE- 212 yds, 2 TDs, 15-25 Longest play- 30 yds
    5. Oak- 279 yds, 1 TD, 1 INT, 24-39 long play 34 yds

Now this is most QBs on a average day. Not only this but Trent in 32 career games, had only 5 games with over 250 yds. and only 11 games with over 200 yds.

8 games where he had more TDs than INTs

4 games where hes scored 2 tds or more

Now lets compare this to, lets say Fitzy

    Top 5 games

    1. 297 yds, 2 INTs, 1 TD (jack) Long- 98 yds
    2. 155 yds, 3 TDs, (ind, blizzard) long- 41 yds
    3. 310 Yds, 3 TDs, 1 INT, (Hou, 1 ever game) long- 56 yds
    4. 261 yds, 1 TD (Philly) Long- 26 yds
    5. 246 yds, 1 TD, 1 INT, (MIA) long- 51 yds

Now Trent does lead in the catagories, 200 yds games 11-6, 250 YD or more, 5-4.

But Fitz had 8 games with more TDs thn INTs, and 3 games of 2 TDs or more.

Now this doesnt say fitz is better, but even hes shown more flashes of greatness than Edwards. Edwards never even had a game with 250 yds and 3 TDs. His only game with 4 TDs, only had just over 100 yds. I do not think either are starters material, and this proves it. A real NFL QB has games of 300 yds, games of more than 3 TDs along with the 250 plus yds. Look at Quinn, hes had 14 games and already a 4 TD 300 yd game

Conclusion - We need to call Denver and trade Trentative & Fitzpatrick for Quinn.

What I take from this: We are screwed unless Brohm somehow develops into something.

What I take from this is you wasted your time looking up stats of garbage QB's.

Start Brohm, the unknown, or go the year with a garbage QB and draft a QB next year. Those are the only 2 options.

The so called worst QB in NFL, Jamarcus Russell has, 8 200 + yd games, 3 less than Trent. 5 games with more TDs than INTs, 3 less than Trent. Same ammount of games with 2 TDs or more. Here is Russells top 5 games

            1. 277 yds, 1 TD, 1 INT, (SDG), 63 yd long
            2. 242 yds, 2 TDs, 1 INT, (NE), 56 yd long
            3. 236 yds, 2 TDs (HOU) 29 yd long
            4. 180 yds, 2 TDs (DEN), 24 yd long
            5. 228 yds, 1 TD, 1 INT (Bal) 60 yd long

Russell is almost equal to Trent in everything. Look at the teams he had his best games vs, SD, NE, HOU, BAL, DEN. Each one has made the playoffs (idk bout houston actually). Bal, SD, and HOU have top 10 Ds.

The point of looking up the stats was to prove to "trent believers" that he is garbage

San Diego made the playoffs that year, they won a game in the playoffs as well against the colts
The last time the Bills made the playoffs was 1999.

The Jacksonville game and Fitzs first game was close to it

A fact like this actually undermines your point. If Brady Quinn can reach those numbers, then it just further shows that numbers don't define a good QB.

It shows that Trent does not have the ability to take over a game

You don't need a QB to "take over" a game, you need him to perform in the clutch to win it. (which he doesn't do anymore either)

Big numbers from a QB sometimes means he's throwing all the time because his team is down big and the other team is playing prevent.

Edwards hasn't done anything to fill me with hope that he can be a good NFL QB, but we have to at least accept that ****ty coaching and a revolving door at LT the past two seasons have ruined his progression.

I want to see what he does with a real coach who truly believes in teaching his players and working with them to make them improve before I finally throw him under the bus.

That said, if he reverts to type once pads go on I can't see any reason not to hand Brohm the keys and let him prove that he's got what it takes.
