Enroth the front-runner to back up Miller

Seven goaltenders found new homes today, but none took up residence in Buffalo. It's quite possible none of the remaining free agents will, either.

The comments on this thread will surely crack me up.

    Have at it guys.

I would rather have him in Rochester gaining more experience but he has a lot of talent.

i'd rather have him in portland than rochester, thurm.

      but i get your point.

I think he should get a shot to unseed lalime in training camp. if he does it....it's his, if not, back to the minors.

Also, if a couple goalies aren't going to find homes, the sabres are kind of in position to take their time sorting it out.

Except for Lalime, there really is no goalie out there that the Sabres should even consider signing.

So it is Lalime or Enroth. And it needs to be decided before TC. The one problem with it being Enroth is that leaves Portland w/o a viable goalie.

Here is the issue with that.

That requires the Sabres to re-sign Lalime. Contracts in the NHL are guaranteed. So if Enroth beats him out in camp, what do you do? Eat the 1 million per year you just gave Lalime?

Like the Sabres FO would EVER do that.

              Exactly my point.

Therefore a camp competition between Lalime and Enroth is already out of the question. They need to make their mind up now.

Oh so do I. I think he needs more seasoning BUT there is a slight chance that being up with the big club and learning from Miller may be good for him as well.

If the KHL releases him from his contract and he comes back to the country, then maybe.
