The way I see it, this organization has to do something today. I think that the number of people who have lost faith in the organization is at an all-time high. I know there are a percentage of people who will sit back and believe in Darcy and his band of misfits, but I believe that a majority of fans now have no confidence in this organization. I have talked to friends that feel the same way. It has become a joke. For the first time in the history of being a Sabres fan, I have lost faith.

It just isn't this off season. It has been brewing for a few years. It has been this organization losing captains and selling us on the fact that they have players that are ready to step up. It has been years of just missing the playoffs, yet the team sat there and did nothing at trade deadlines while other teams in the conference did. It has been losing to the Bruins in a total uninspired playoff "run". This organizations stance on just status quo. It has been this organizations ego that they draft the greatest players on earth and that is their resume, good drafting. They did hit a home run by drafting Tyler Myers, looking like they did with Ennis. That isn't going to win you the cup. They tell us that they have guys that are ready to step in, like last time, when they told us Chris Butler was ready. He wasn't.

We were all told that this off season would be different. Darcy came out and stated that they were going to change their policy on free agents and the way they build their roster. Well, so far it has been the exact same, sit back and hope someone will come to you and take the money you are offering. You lose two defensemen, you sign a journeyman defenseman as his replacement. It isn't an upgrade to your team, it is the same defenseman you just lost in Lydman, just younger.

Did anyone actually believe you would change your ideals? I think you assumed we were all the usual sheep and would follow this team regardless of what they did. Well Darcy, I think your approach has caught up with you. I think your ideals are not working. I think the patience of the Buffalo Sabres fans has run out. It is time to do what you said you were going to do. This team isn't good enough and teams in the conference are getting better. You need to do something here so you don't lose more fans.

like i said in other posts. the sabres talked out of both sides of their mouth. they wanted to tell us we are close, but then they didn't do anything about it. They said they would but they didn't.

Leopold isn't a big deal. he replaces a body, but the team's fault in theplayoffs weren't because one of the 2 defensemen didn't do their job, it's because they didn't have an identity, they didn't score on the powerplay, and they were soft.

Where is leopold solving any one of those problems? Is there really anyone in portland who can come up and play at a lights out, guaranteed ability to change those three problems?

We needed to trade to get grit, we needed to trade or sign a known PP specialist.

By yesterday's in action and no trades pending, the sabres are proving that they think they need more time. which in the end is going to waste Ryan Miller's prime. The guy is going to be good for 6 years barring injury. Now is the time to stock it up in front of him.
