Burke wants a Top 6 Forward for Kaberle

    Pominville/Connolly?

    Do they count?

You know if we trade Pominville that ****er is going to score on us 8 times a year.

Can't say Pominville or Connolly would be of much interest. We're looking for size and scoring in the top 6, and I'd prefer if we picked up a natural left winger.

The only guy I'd want would be Vanek.

It would take me exactly three seconds to pony up Connolly, throw Stafford in and get back a draft choice.

Very few players are untouchable or should be for the Sabres. Pominville/Connolly/Stafford...all of them should be in play. None of them would come back to haunt Buffalo either.

I think we have 6 top forwards actually..skill-wise that is. It's just that the game has gone back to the old clutching and grabbing bull****. The neutral zone is always a cluster **** and then more teams are using the trap as well. There are rarely any pretty goals scored by teams, usually garbage goals. Remember 05/06? That was HOCKEY, amazing goals from every team that year and the following. What happened to obstruction penalties? The FO needs to realize they built this team a few years too late. Bring in the heavy hitters, power forwards and tall guys that can screen the **** out of the goaltender then pray a puck bounces your way. Finesse players are a thing of the past, unless the NHL starts enforcing the penalties like they did after the lockout.

the "clutching and grabbing bull****" is called "hockey". The wide open game with lots of pretty goals that you're describing is called "roller hockey."

That's not hockey. Garbage goals define hockey for you? No wonder why Hockey is behind Womens tennis in popularity.

The game is still pretty free flowing compared to what we were watching pre lock out. Not really counting the playoffs though :)

I'm really up for anything trade-wise as long as it involves getting rid of roy.

There are no more or no fewer finesse goals now than there were before the lockout. The problem is that you're using a 2-year period with rule changes to emphasize offense as your baseline, over the REST OF THE NHL'S EXISTENCE. NHL hockey has never been about wide open ice with finesse goals. It's always been a hard-fought, grind-it-out game. Sure, there have been finesse players over the years, like Gretsky then or Ovechkin now, who can score highlight reel goals night in and night out. But that's not how the game has typically been played.

Hell teams have been using the trap for almost 20 years. Suddenly, now it's a problem?
