I would think it will heat up talks a little bit. If the kid really wants to be here as early as possible and the front office doesn't try to dick him around, they both have numbers to work from now.

First they make smart picks in the draft and didn't reach. Now, they get there 1st rounder into camp on time?

Who are you and what have you done with Oakland's front office?

They reached on McClain, imo but it was a very solid pick.

I dont think this speeds up the Spiller signing any to be honest. Keep in mind the top 10 while loosely slotted sometimes will have skill players make more money (usually in bonuses) then non skill player positions. That's what takes so long on these deals.

Our front office will screw this up. We delayed on Maybin and than gave him 25 million in guaranteed money. These guys are idiots.

That's an increase of 4.6 million base and 3.8 in guaranteed over last years #8 pick, and more than the Raiders paid the #7 pick DHB last year as well.

This slows the talks if anything. They way overpaid McClain and Buddy won't like that. We will have to wait until the 10th pick is signed now and just go in the middle. If McClain would have signed a reasonable deal, it would have helped but the Raiders way overpaid him.

Minga....this is just getting out of control now seriously.

A rookie MLB making 40 mil base salary. Ray Lewis probaly makes slightly more than that and he's a hall of famer.

spiller will be one of the highest paid players on our team, and you know what? fine...he is probally our best player already
