    Training Camp News: Week 1

    Let's get this party started...

    Players know QB order

    By Chris Brown - Posted July 29, 2010 – 11:50 am
The order in which the Bills QB depth chart will lay out has been communicated to the players in meetings this morning. Now it’s a matter of seeing it in action at practice at 3 pm for the rest of us.
Bills rookie WR David Nelson confirmed that the players were informed of how things will shake out at QB at least at the outset of camp on his twitter account.
DNelson83 Yes, for all you asking ?s, they have announced the starting QB (for right now at least) Quick lunch break & then off to the first practice!
We’ll have full coverage of how the QB depth chart lays out later this afternoon here on Buffalobills.com.

Schobel Placed on Did Not Report List; LB's on Shelf

Bills DE Aaron Schobel did not aarive at St. John Fisher by Thursday's 7 o'clock deadline and was placed on the team's Reserve/Did Not Report list. With this designation, Schobel does not count toward the Bills' 80-man roster. The veteran remains at home, deciding whether to retire or return to football.

            Practice Starts Today!

As the Buffalo Bills checked in to their dormitories on Wednesday afternoon, they all had a common item tucked away underneath their arms. A brand new playbook. What does that mean?

            Training camp is officially underway.

What are the players expecting? Here's some quotes from check-in day.

            Running back Fred Jackson:
"We’re trying to see what we’re expecting. We don’t know what we’re going to do. We know we’re going to work more than anything. We know we’re going to be working. So I think a lot of guys are prepared for that and looking forward to it."

            Nose tackle Kyle Williams:
“I don’t know. I know we have more two-a-days, which is part of camp and you have to do it. He [Coach Gailey] stressed toughness and the team being smart so I know we’re going to work on those things. I don’t know how long practice is going to be but I would anticipate us getting after it pretty good.”

            Outside linebacker Chris Kelsay:
"Every coach is different, obviously, but there is a sense of a new beginning this year. Coach [Chan] Gailey and his staff, I believe, bring more of a disciplinary feel to, not only the meeting rooms, the practice field, obviously, but the entire atmosphere around the organization. I think that’s what we need. We’ve got a pretty young team and we need to do things the right way. We’ve got a long road, but we’re all in it 100 percent – our hearts and our minds – and that’s what it takes."

            Linebacker Paul Posluszny:
"If you take our record from last year and say we had a lot of problems going into this offseason – quarterback, offensive line, new defense – I mean, why wouldn’t you say that. But it’s our job to go out and prove them wrong and say we have a lot of confidence in our abilities and what we can do on the field. But the biggest…You’ve got to go out and perform. That’s obviously the biggest thing. We’ve got to go out, win football games from the start, and that will all change."
The first practice is scheduled for 3 pm on Thursday.

St. John Fisher Cardinals as in the bird. Stanford is Cardinal as in the color. Stanford's mascot is actually a tree. Louisville Cardinals are the bird.

                              Therefore, Brohm is the starter.
