He is clearly the best QB we have.

Clearly Brohm and Fitz must be that much worse.

If Edwards goes down with an injury, we're even more screwed since he's best of the bunch.

nothing is set in stone yet. Who knows how they will do once the pads come on.

Trent hasn't done anything for us lately, but at one point he looked pretty good. Let's hope the new coaching staff can bring back his good side. Some Qbs do take 5 years or so to develop (example Drew brees).

I'm curious to see what Trent looks like with a competent coach. He's shown flashes in the past.

It's not his fault he was drafted into a dysfunctional Dick Jauron led franchise.... who fired his OC and cut his LT 1 week before last season.

GO TRENT!!!

I think this was the best case scenario. Good Luck kid, you're gonna need it.

I'm seeing some objective, positive remarks about Trent being named starter. I'm glad to see it. I remain a TE fan and believe he has all the tools to be successful under a competent offensive system.

Let's hope he talked to a psychologist during the off-season.

Claussen would've beaten out Trent , we should have drafted him.

Not!

That's like saying Bertha is the best of the fat girls.

This is all Chan's show.... He has ot live and die by his decisions.

However this is the 1st real head coach we've had since Wade Phillip, and he has a mind for the O. So I'm looking foreward to seeing what Chan can get out of all of our players... but my focus will be on the O in regards to Chan

Yikes, and Fitz is running 2nd.

So much for hoping Brohm is the future.

It's Edwards or nothin.

somebody HAD to go first and start...hes the most senior bills QB we have... I think he'll win in it in the end anyways but today still means nothing....

Jauron + Fired OC plus Fired LT = complete idsaster.

Jauron alone held back our entire team and completely wrecked any chance of us having an Offense.

Chan is the one who can change the fortunes of this team through real coaching, O scheme, and and game day decision making... Something that plagued the entire O for the last 4 years and more.....

I just do not understand how anyone could be so unwilling to just sit back and see what our new coaches can do... because anyone on this forum or in this world who thinks we have something better in Fitz or Brohm is delusional... All 3 will benefit from real coaching... but Chan is the guy who has ot live or die by his decision... and he feels Edwards is the best of the group... therefore Edwards is the best QB in the group

Its the fist day of camp. No matter who started someone would get their panties in a bunch and whine.
Like what was said. Lets give all three the benefit of the doubt. We have a offensive minded coach so lets see what they can do. Let's start worrying if no one emerges by the end of preseason and they all look like crap.

As I have stated in numerous threads: This is the only logical decision. Brohm and Fitz did nothing in OTAs to warrant anything different.

He benefits from the rest of the QB's sucking worse than he does. Hopefully he does something with this last chance. I won't hold my breath.

Wow, we were supposed to have this 'fresh start' in 2010. Who do we get? Spent Deadwards at the helm. "Fresh Start" at 1 Bills Drive pretty much equals recycled garbage, with lots of marketing and hype thrown into the mix courtesy of Russ Brandon.

I understand that Gailey and Nix had little choice given the few QB options available. Most of us understand this year is basically a write-off anyways. We can *hope* that in 2011, the Bills will get a new quarterback.

The trouble is... the Bills have a aged, penny-pinching owner who is more interested in saving money than winning. If Deadwards has even a mediocre 2010, I could see him lingering into 2011, and Gailey and Nix handcuffed by Wilson.

If only Wilson could learn something from George Steinbrenner's example.
