Hopefully, this speeds things up for Spiller.

not getting my hopes up. I'm thinking that Spiller is looking for #3 money.

not getting my hopes up. I'm thinking that Spiller is looking for #3 money. What are you basing that on? Mathews plays the same position and was taken three picks later. More parameters for both sides to work with on the negotiations.

It would seem the numbers would be easy to agree to within a week, unless he wants something out of the ordinary.

Or maybe he's like many people here and just hates the Bills.

I'm not really sure what the hold up is (yes, I know it's money, but more specific). Now the RB after Spiller has signed, the pick right before and #11 have both signed. There are limits on both sides, and I have a hard time believing Spiller is pulling a Crabtree. The parameters are set, now it's up to Spiller's agent to follow them.

#3 money would be quite a jump...

The Chargers have signed first round draft pick Ryan Mathews to a five-year, $25.7 million contract. Of that money, $15.1 million is guaranteed, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter (http://twitter.com/Adam_Schefter/status/20081930761).

So one would think that 5 yrs. $30M and $18M of guaranteed would get it done.

I'm guessing they're looking more at McClain's #'s, at # eight.

I'm guessing the Spiller camp wants more than that.

I thought you were targeting some terms with the 30 and 18 mentioned in your previous post....but that would be quite a bit less than McClain. My bad.

That is what I think would get it done based on what is below him...but if he is looking closer to McClain then it will be awhile. I think we are on the same page.

The reports differ if Alualu has signed but the numbers were like 28 and 18. So split the difference call it 34 and 20 and get to camp! That's if that report was correct about Alualu.

There's no guarantee that it's about money, it could be the length of the contract.

Might be both...If Spiller's camp is asking for higher money than his slot indicates, the team might be asking for a sixth year in exchange, similar to the Crabtree deal last season.

Word is that the JAGS TYSON ALUALU has signed with the team. ALUALU was the 10th overall pick in the draft.

That's still about money.

Its about guaranteed money, Spiller wants to be overslotted.
