I usually hate these posts of picking up guys from teams who release them...but Colt Brennan actually was someone we looked at in previous years and I thought played well for the Redskins and showed potential. Why not cut Fitz now and give him a look?

Just think if we picked him up, people would hold him as high in regard as Brohm.

Let me be the first to say, we gotta get this guy!

All the above sarcasm nonwithstanding, Brennan actually looked like he ability at Hawaii. Kinda surprising he was released by the Skins.

Should have just kept JP Losman.

It's not his fault he had Mike Mularkey, Dick Juaron, and had to play with talents like Josh Reed, Peerless Price, Andre Davis, Sam Aiken, etc.. not to mention all the awful linemen who almost got him killed.

the skins traded a CB to baltimore and got john beck in return, i guess thats the reason brennan got cut

I am not high on the "get this guy" sentiment that follows every QB that has ever been released. I do like Brohm. I really like Brennan.

It was a while ago, when searching for Bill Walsh's recommending TE, that I found this article. It was a good read, I felt, on Brennan.

I know he was hurt, but if he is healthy, and the price is right, why not? If I recall he was mighty impressive in camp for the 'Skins last year, until the injury.

john beck, the guy who got pulled for Cleo Lemon? that was one of the most fun bills dolphins games i've been to under the jauron years. or was that the end of mularkey. i have no idea. but i definitely do not want a guy that seems worse than john beck. beck looked like a little puppy out there.

He was just the product of a crazy system in college. A ridiculous spread offense that ran the ball maybe 5x a game and played in a joke conference defensively. He'll be out of the league soon.

You seem to have a real hatred of Brohm. What is the problem? Are you that afraid he will beat out your boy Trent?

People clamoring for Brennan just shows the intelligence of the fan base. He has no arm, terrible throwing motion and came from a spread offense. Since when has that garnered a successful QB?

I found that odd.... because Beck looked like a high school QB when he played against us with the Dolphins. I remember the guy couldn't throw a 10 yard pass into the wind.

I'm fairly certain that my grandmother can throw the ball farther, and with more zip than Colt Brennan.
