Bills RB C.J. Spiller*let everyone*on twitter know that*(t0day) Thursday is his birthday and the team’s top draft choice may have dropped a hint regarding his current situation.

I personally don't care. I'm a big Lynch fan, I think he's the total package at RB, and the time Spiller is spending away is helping my favorite player take reps and earn his spot back.

I know people hate Lynch, but it's for the wrong reasons, IMO. We're drafting black guys from the hood because they can run and catch, not to be politicians. I don't care what Lynch does off the field, as long as he steers clear of anymore suspensions. I think, on the field, he's clearly returning to his 07/08 form, and should be our starter Week 1.

I've been out of touch for a while. Is it known what the big issues with Spiller's contract are?

I believe the issues are twofold:

1. Raiders gave McClain, picked one spot ahead of Spiller, a very generous contract, which puts the Bills in a bit of a bind as to what Spiller's expectations are.

2. Length of the deal. Bills will want a longer deal but the only way Spiller agrees to an extra year is with a big salary that final year (has more to do with the short tenure of most feature backs and delaying Spiller's free agency pay date).

I can't read enough of these. Still feels great and it's been a couple of days. I was worrying he may hold out due to some other bad decisions made by recent signies. No worries now!!
