Veteran free agent center Jerry Fontenot said he has agreed in principle to a one-year contract with the Saints, ending weeks of speculation about his career in New Orleans.
Fontenot, 36, said he plans to sign the deal Monday and participate in the final two days of the team's offseason program Tuesday and Wednesday.
