He has been as big as 290 in the offseason. He disliked how small the Bills wanted him to be.
I lived next door to the guy. I have considered the possibility that both sides and his agent have played out this indecision/release/retirement script for months now, knowing what the final outcome would be. I actually respect Schobel a little bit more after reading his comments on BB.com.
