Byrd Complication

Read on TBD that a poster there had information that the "complication" with Byrd was related to his hernia surgery.

Apparently the complication was bad enough that it is requiring surgery, and he may miss 4-6 weeks.

Don't have anything concrete, and no link, just speculation. I felt that this was a serious enough issue to warrant a speculation thread.

Just got some information about Jarius and it doesn't sound too good. Apparently he is having complications from the sports hernia surgery from last year and he is getting surgery today here in Philadelphia to repair it. Unfortunately, from my source, he will likely miss up to 6 weeks.

This is his quote...in a later post he names the hospital and says that JB was about to go under the knife.

Not gonna worry about it until there is confirmation, but if it's true, this team is officially cursed. It means 3 of our 6 best players got hurt in one preseason game.

Having just gone through a double hernia repair, I can say with confidence that if he did re-open the same injury, it's going to take longer to heal than the first go-round and it's going to bother him for at least a year after it's "fixed"

I was hoping the same, but from what my source told me, it sounds pretty painful. He is in Hahnemann Hospital here in Philly, which is one of 3 sports hernia specialist locations in the country and he was apparently about to go under the knife.

I agree it's a message board rumor, but worth keeping an eye on. I mean, I have the window open, but I'm not on the ledge yet or anything.
