    Catagorize our QBs

Levi Brown- Best arm most accurate, doesnt have the it factor
Brian Brohm- Has the it factor but struggles with accuracy, great arm, very hyped
Trent Edwards- Scared, but has everything but nothing great
Ryan Fitzpatrick- Our best backup QB, never will be a starter, ok arm, horrible accuracy, but wont lose a game or win one for the team

    One star.
I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?"
"Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet.
You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times."
    It was all
true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach.
He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can
mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.

I can't make any such determination at this time about Brown

as for Fitz... I'd rather live with a crappier backup who needs some playing time to develope

I read somewhere that Levi was one of the top accurate QBs in college and we all know he has the strongest arm. Levi was rated with above average arm strength, Edwards and Brohm rated with average while Fitz had poor

yeah I was questioning your "it" portion of that comment

I guess it depends on what your definition of "it" is

The it factor is the idea that no matter what, he will be successful. Brohm had that it, but that it has well been **** but the fact that he had that it is making people forget about the ****. Brown never had the it, he was never hyped up. The idea of the it is what usually seperates the top round QBs from the low round QBs.

actually I understood what you were trying to say... Levi is an unknown so we don't know if he has the it factor.. where Brohm came in as a higher rated QB whom many thought they saw th eit factor, but are still waiting for it to show up on the field.

edwards - injured by week 3
fitz - struggles to throw the out pass and every other pass in the passing tree
brohm - mental case that won't ever get a starting job anywhere, including bufflao
                      brown - see Gibran Hamdan.

The ever elusive "It Factor", has ZERO to do with what round one is drafted in. And "It" is most definately not something that comes and goes. One either has "It" or one doesn't.

The main problem with the "It Factor" is it is very hard to detect with any degree of accuracy early on in most players' careers. There are also a lot of false positives AND negatives, kind of like Kimberlite pipes, you're going to find diamond fragments often...but rarely will you find the mother lode.

Examples of false positives: Tony Mandarich, Brian Bosworth, Ryan Leaf...(all top picks, EVERYONE thought they had "It"

Examples of false negatives: Tom Brady, Terrell Davis, Warren Moon... (all 6th round or later, obviously no one thought they had "It"
