The three men taken into custody were later identified as Fabian Figueroa, Sergio Morillo and Hector Salazar.Bob Cook, of the State Department of Justice, said the home appears to have a connection to a drug cartel, and the three arrested were Mexican nationals.

Why the difference?
They weigh the meth in standard english form and the cocaine in metric. Why?

Favre likes to party. He watches tv and listens to the radio AT THE SAME TIME.

That gives government bean counters an extra job. One counter for english, one for metric.

They weigh the meth in standard english form and the cocaine in metric. Why?It's the same as when you buy an ounce of pot, but break it up into grams to resell it.

send an email to the governor of California. since he's a legal immigrant by marriage, he'll probably cut you a break.

I'd guess that's probably right.
The meth is probably homemade, the blow is probably from South America.
And we mostly still sell our pot by halves, quarters, and eighths of an ounce, rather than grams.

I talked to my Dad about this because he was involved in law enforcement and I was curious as well and he said that the government weighs everything on the english form, but that sometimes the spokesman or media member will report it differently using metrics because its more commonly referred to that way.
