Hold your breath...while last night's game was pleasant to see some improvement, it's consistancy that we need to see in order to gradually feel better about the direction of this team.
While anything is better than Jauron, take a look at our schedule and it'll ground your thougths! We could easily start out 0-4, but this year's schedule is bastardly! It's nice to think that this team will be better than last year and I'd say that we are right now even with so many injuries but I could easily see this team falling anywhere from 3-13 to 6-10 for the season and another pick in the top 8 of the 2011 draft. If we didn't have quite so many buzz saws on our schedule to run up against I'd add another two wins to my guess...maybe 7-9 or 8-8 season.
Upcoming roster cuts will be interesting to view. While most of us could probably guess pretty closely to who will get cut, I'm sure there will be a few surprises considering we aren't able to view every practice or know every detail in this decision making process like an insider would. How many RB's/WR's and LB's will we keep? Tough call!
Here's my 53 Man Roster guess:
QB-Edwards/Brohm/Brown (Leaves me worried)
RB-Jackson/Lynch/Spiller/Bell (Awesome and deep stable of backs)
WR-Evans/Parrish/Jackson/Hardy/Johnson (Very thin with talent-needs a surprise to step up to the plate)
TE- Nelson/Schouman/Stupar (Very average)
FB-McIntyre
LT-Bell/Meridith/Wang (Suspect with injury plagued players)
RT-Green/Calloway (Not the ideal book end tackles)
RG-Wood/Howard
LG- Levitre/Watkins
C-Hangartner
LDE-Stroud/Carrington/McCargo (Solid)
RDE- Edwards/Johnson (Solid)
NT- Williams/Troup (Solid)
OLB- Kelsay/Ellis/Torbor/Maybin (That 2009 draft passing up Orakpo still keeps me up at night, I wanted him a BIll so bad!)
ILB- Davis/Poz/Mitchell/Ellison/Moats (Average with some journeymen)
CB- McGee/Corner/McKelvin/Florence/Youboty (Solid)
S-Byrd/Wilson/Whitner/Scott (Solid)
ST- Lindell/Moorman (MVP's of the team)
