Trading Thomas
Graves continues to have conversations with Tampa Bay and New Orleans regarding the possibility of trading running back Thomas Jones.
New Orleans recently offered a backup offensive lineman, which the Cardinals rejected. The player's identity was not revealed.
The more likely scenario is trading Jones to Tampa Bay, which might be in need of a running back, given Michael Pittman's recent legal problems.
"Nothing is imminent," Graves said. "We're talking of a player-for-player situation. We're trying to exhaust all possibilities before we just let him go."
The Cardinals are most interested in adding a veteran cornerback and defensive end. Graves said it's "highly unlikely" the club would take Jones to training camp in late July.
"We probably would have to have an injury or something for that to happen," he said.
