    Bills sign TE

The Bills have signed TE JP Foschi, according to his agent, Ralph Cindrich. Said he drew interest from Patriots, Cowboys and Broncos.
He's a GT guy and had 27 catches for the Bengals last year.

        This is a good signing.

I have no idea if this guy is any good or not, but at this point we just need bodies to play TE, and there isn't enough left on the open market to bother being picky. If he sucks, we'll just cut him once Schouman returns or Nelson's suspension ends.

Have we heard any sort of timeframe for Schouman to get back - generic or otherwise?

He played his college ball at GT... that might explain it

DraftBoy posted 3-6 weeks- not sure where he got the info.

If it's 3 weeks, then he misses the pre-season and is back just in time for the opener. If it's 6 weeks, he could miss as many as 3 regular season games.

Well this should give a little satisfaction to those longing for a JP...

I think I saw 3-6 weeks for Schouman on the Bills web site. If this guy cought 27 balls last season, he's at least a serviceable fill in. And his GT background guarantees he's familiar with the way Gailey thinks on offense. This is a common sense signing.

                    Another JP = 7-9 season.

                    That is all.

My gut tells me that the Bills will be looking for a TE at cut time. There will be good, young TE's cut and the Bills will desperately need one.

i don't know anything about the guy. if he had 27 receptions last year, it sure as hell beats getting somebody from their practice squad.

i'll take 7-9 considering that i feel the Bills will finish worse than that.

I posted in another thread, the Bucs have 5 TE's & most likely will cut 2 good prospects.

I don't think we can depend on Schouman with all of his time being injured. It's too bad, I really liked what he showed the brief time he's been on the field.
