Yes, if I was a player I would want that.

However, this team deserves to be heckled based on their performance the past decade. Until they prove that they aren't a complete embarassment on and off the field, the heckling from their OWN fans will continue.

That's just BS. This team is new, has never played a regular season game, and is not responsible for the failures of the last 10 years.

Why can't some of you separate the current team from the sins of the last 10 years. It is just ignorant to take a team that is working its collective butt off to be competitive, and crap all over it for past problems.

FRIGGIN' IGNORANT.

it's part of sports Jan. I yelled "Trent is back to being Capt. Check down" when I saw Trent resorting back to dinking and dunking especially after the other qb's came in and made 10-20 yards on their first throws. I will never make personal, obscene insults however.

i think if we had a dink and dunker who was successful, no one would care that he doesn't go long that often.

heckling in preseason seems odd to me. i'm frustrated with this team, but its their practice to get better under a new coach.

yeah, if jauron was recycled on us again this year, i would have said these guys and the entire fan base should go down and let them have it.

but let's give gailey a shot. i think they're a bad team. i think they are going to be blown up defensively and i think if the protection remains skittish, the passing game will continue to irritate us all.

but gailey is playing with a severely depleted roster. zero superstars, zero QB's, one potential breakout player in spiller, little OT and DL depth, little LB strength and new schemes on both sides of the ball. there is a lot of reason to be skeptical.

Beebe's Kid
08-25-2010, 11:16 AM
This is also the place that neither Trent or Gailey can hear the hecklers, in order to address them. He didn't stop them. They could have kept going, but when he put the pants on them, they shut up, which is probably similar to what most of the "hecklers" here would do.

This team has been bad for 10 years. We all know that, so what do you want to do about it? Heckle them...on the internet...uh oh, that'll show 'em!!

Bills fans are a sad sack these days. I know about the losing, and that you hate Whitner, and that we could have drafted Orakpo, and that Ralph is old, and on and on and on.. We all ****ing know this ****.

The Ralph used to be one of the toughest places to play...something about the 12th man. Now we are a bunch of bickering, *****ing, negative *****s, who are quicker to boo the Bills than to interfere with an opposing QB's signal calling. There are way too many cocky visiting fans in our stadium every home game. I have seen them standing there talking ****, with Bills fans agreeing.

If this team has been on team spiral for ten years, so has it's loyal fanbase. You ask players if a fired up crowd would be a little inspiration to dig deeper than you have before, and I bet the answer is a resounding "yes."

I'll give Gailey the benefit of the doubt, unless proven otherwise, which I don't believe I will be. Let him handle the team. Let us Rock the Ralph, and let's inspire our guys to win...lift them up, don't beat them down.

disagree beebe's kid. this team over 10 years has beaten people into apathy. other cities would have simply walked from the team. they would have empty stadiums. we still showed.

and they don't let us complain with our pocketbook. and then keep the same bs procedures in place until this year. and even then, the changes are hardly groundbreaking.

The bills get our full support for the first 2 games. by the third one we are at the bottom of our division, and the exact same mistakes happen and the coaches have nothing to say at the press conference, they have nothing to change after halftime, and we are watching the same miserable game.

This year its hopefully different. but we've hung on with a crappy team longer than any other city. We are allowed to go to the stadium angry when the team shows they cant fix basic plays.

They are practicing. They are there, with their new coach as you pointed out, trying to get ready to put a respectable product on the field. The fact that anybody is allowed there is kind of a privilege, not a right.

You are allowed to disagree. You also are allowed to not go to the games. If it is that bad for you, then don't go.

I know it's been hard, I have been a Bills fan for a long time, since it was about as much fun as it is now. I know the frustration. I go to every home game, and I watch every away game. I don't even turn them off when we are getting humiliated. I don't leave early. I am a glutton for the punishment.

I guess what I was thinking, being a homer in addition to a glutton, is that our support may help or inspire. I know that is going to get flames, whatever. Our bashing our team, I guarantee has a negative effect. As people have pointed out, there is not really anybody on this team that was a part on the decade of debauchery. (minus Kelsay, and it is obvious negativity will not inspire him) So, not only are we yelling and screaming at people that aren't the cause of our sorrows, it will not inspire them play better, that is for sure.

I am not saying that this team is without blame, but I keep going, and apparently so do many here. If I felt it necessary to scream obscenities at them and be so frustrated that I became as negative about everything as many here, it would be time to walk away.

We are definitely not fair-weather fans. We are die hard. Most of my 73,000 friends that I watch football with on Sundays are die hard. I just see it behooving us more to support than deflate this team. If you feel the latter, then it would be better for your psyche and the team that you didn't go.

yeah those new lamb chops Trent is showing off has the 70's calling wanting there style back. Give Trent a plaid wide lapel shirt unbuttoned down to the navel with a gold chain and he would be re-incarnation of that horirble era in music based mostly on watered down mutilated funk.... Disco.

Ok for the cheap seats.

I do not want to heckle the whole team.

I do think Trend deserves some criticism without his dad protecting his fragile make up. I mean he is an NFL qb not a ten year old at a little leaguer who gets trashed by an opposing parent? Last time Sabs moms checked Tr-int is a grown man and if he can't take some hecklers from the stands he doesn't have the mental toughness he needs to be an NFL qb. What happens when B Orackpo call his mamma a hoebag before the snap? Chan Chan....brian said mean things to me....Whhaaaa whaaa?

When he proves otherwise these threads will disappear like the ones where he was being compared to Joe Montana.

Now relax have some fun (Or not) but please don't make something of this thread that isn't there or start some qb debate or question fandom.

This is some fun on a slow news day for those with some creativity.

THANK YOU! How the hell did this evolve into this thread! Seriously, I'm beginning to think that some of the ppl on this board have secret fantasies toward TE and get their freakin' panties in a wad every time someone says a damn thing about him. Don't care if they haven't played a game yet. A good amount of the players who have been around the past few years are still on the team currently.

Im glad they're working harder than they have previously. Hopefully that translates to more success.

Players like Lynch, Whitner, Maybin, deserve all the heckling because their on the field performance is mediocre followed by their off the field antics frustrating fans even more. Just because were fans doesn't mean we have to be ga-ga and blinded about all of our players. For example I almost got kicked out of training camp the second day for "heckling Marshawn Lynch" because I think he's a piece of crap...freedom of speech...deal with it...you're professionals and you get PAID to play a game.

I'm speaking about heckling the team as a whole rather than the incident with the teenagers and Edwards.

I'm not heckling ALL of the current roster for the past decade, just the players who are responsible for it.
