If you can't tell, I'm a Buffaloian living in Austin Tx. Living here in Austin I can't help but notice who the starting QB is for the longhorns now. Garrett Gilbert, son of Gale Gilbert, if you may remember was our 3rd string QB for all of our Super Bowl years. Later went to San Diego and lost one there.

Garrett Gilbert was in the big game last year after Colt went down, he might be cursed too. Let hope the Bills don't draft him in a few years, no matter how good he might get.

"Gale Reed Gilbert (born December 20, 1961 in Red Bluff (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Red_Bluff,_California), California (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/California)) is a former American football (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_football) quarterback (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quarterback) who played eight seasons in the NFL (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Football_League) for the Seattle Seahawks (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seattle_Seahawks), Buffalo Bills (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Buffalo_Bills), and the San Diego Chargers (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/San_Diego_Chargers). Gilbert is the only player in NFL history to be a member of five straight Super Bowl (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Super_Bowl) teams. He was a member of the Bills, who played in four straight Super Bowls (XXV- XXVIII) and of the Chargers, who played in Super Bowl XXIX. Gilbert was on the losing team in all five Super Bowl games. His son Garrett Gilbert began his career as a quarterback for the University of Texas (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/University_of_Texas) in 2009 and was on the losing team in the 2009 NCAA championship game against the University of Alabama (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/University_of_Alabama).
Gilbert was also the catcher for a baseball team from Red Bluff, California which placed second in the 1974 Little League World Series (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1974_Little_League_World_Series), losing the championship game to a team from Taiwan."Wiki

If he is good, I'll take it. I'm tired of losing games during the regular season, if it means winning seasons and losing super bowls again, so be it!!!

You may be right! This kid was the best I have ever seen in High school. I have gone to a bunch of Lake Travis games over the last 4 years. No doubt this kid has the "it factor". Its a QB School anyways, 2 words "Drew Brees".

Gilbert will have plenty of time this season to prove his ability. It will be very interesting to watch.
