View Full Version : I want your 2 big cuts.

Put some thought into this. Usually every year we get two guys that we are like wow. Yes, Fitzpatrick would be a big cut. After this weekend give me your 2 big cuts and why.

Here's mine:

Brian Brohm: I am going out on a limb here because the Bills could have him playing the #2 spot and pretty much getting Fitzpatrick ready to be cut. However, I still think that Gailey is going to pick the vet over the potential. I also still believe that Brohm is destined for a stinker and that could be this weekend. I could be eating alot of crow on Sunday.

Joquie Bell: I still think that the Bills don't feel the love for this guy that we all do. Yes, he's looked great but I think Simpson is higher on the depth chart.

I realize that these are both stretches but that's what a big cut is!

I don't think either you just mentioned are big cuts. Fitz is a career backup, they get cut all the time, as to 7th round RBs, or whatever Bell is.

I'm pretty sure there's only about 8 guys I'd consider to be "big cuts" and none of them are even close to being dropped from the roster.

I'll just say Fitz and Hardy since some people don't expect them to be cut and I do.

I don't see anybody being a big cut from this team. I would have said Mitchell, but they need somebody who can play ILB as depth and Moats ain't it.

Maybe Kelsay, but I doubt that. Scott or Wilson could go if Cary Harris is looking good. Reggie Corner maybe.

But are any of those "big" cuts?

And, if they were able to trade Ko Simpson last year, many of these guys could be traded for a 7th.

Hardy has his ticket to Turk-ville already punched. As for the other biggie: hometown boy Jon Corto. How's that for going out on a limb?

Kelsay and Edwards.

I figured if we had to see another thread where HH took a shot at Brohm, we'll at least make it interesting and say that Edwards gets cut, despite his AMAZING performance so far...and his good hair.

I'm not taking a shot at Brohm at all. Matter-of-fact I could care less at this point if Brohm stays and Fitzpatrick gets cut.

I think Kelsay would be a big cut relative this team. And Hardy is a big cut because he was a second rounder.

Fitzpatrick played 8 games last year so this would be a big cut.

I agree with lecter that we unfortunately need alot of players that maybe aren't great.

How much less could you care? I like how your stance has changed from Brohm has no chance of being on this team to "I could care less at this point".

Hardy and McCargo...not 'big' because of their current status, but certainly big enough considering their draft position.

In order of us to have a "BIG" cut, we'd have to cut Brian Moorman, CJ Spiller or Lee Evans.

None of them are getting cut.

I'll go with Whitner in spirit of this thread though.

Surprise cuts in my opinion would be Kawika Mitchell who has been quiet through out training camp and preseason, and 7th round pick Levi Brown simply based on raw talent and development possibility. I don't really know if there is such a thing as a big cut with this team simply because there are no dying stars here so to speak. JMO

I would not call it a big cut but Hardy has to be gone. He sucked last night.

I disagree. Yes he dropped a pass. No doubt. But he was getting open.

Novacane

He dropped 2 passes and had an illegal motion. The motion penalty was not even close. It happened right in front of us. Boneheaded penalty. You are right he was getting open but if he does not make the catch....... I hope he can turn it around. We sat close to the sideline so I got a real look at how tall he is for the first time. He was standing next to TO talking and he was half a helmet taller than TO. He could be a huge weapon for the Bills if he could get it together.
